It's just regular old 44.1 khz, stereo.
I'm wondering if it might be an interaction with Apple Compressor, which is running in the background chewing on a video file in the enclosing folder. Perhaps Compressor locks the folder? If so, Bidule gives no indication of any file error...
I'll try another test by recording the audio file on the desktop...
LATER:
After setting the location (Desktop) and filename, I get an error from Bidule on clicking "Start": - "Cannot open the file for writing." However, this was fixed by checking "Create new files for each record." (I don't remember having to do that in the 32-bit version.) I can now record a file to the desktop, but...
after recording the brief test file, the "File" button in the Audio Recorder window no longer works. It simply doesn't respond to a click. The only way to get it to work again is to quit and re-launch Bidule.
I'll test further later today, after Compressor has finished it's job.
