just d/l .9650 for mac, being told it has expired already?

still the same issue - deleted everything and redownloaded,

folder is called "Plogue Bidule 0.9650UB" so I assume that is what's inside it...

This works fine for me on both PPC and Intel.

The only way I can think of you could get that message is if the date wasn't set correctly (i.e. it was past June 1st 2008) the first time you tried to run this version of Bidule.

ETA on a new version. I figure there are quite a few changes in whatever you guys are running these days that I could use.

I sneakily updated the files, and yet it took less than 2 hours to be found out...

Quickly that would be

[Stuff I didn't get time to finish #1]
[Stuff I didn't get time to finish #2]
[Stuff I didn't get time to finish #3]
[Stuff we didn't get to add #4]

- Comb Filter 2 bidule
- MIDI Matrix : added option to automatically close opened notes when turning off a connection
- Generic UI for VSTs now always show the string value of the parameter
- Added a parameter to all MIDI Creators to disable the detection of value changes and only use triggers
+ many more little improvements

Bug Fixes:
- An incorrect MIDI device could be selected at load time to replace a valid one
- Constant: Number of media files constants could have the wrong value in certain cases
- MIDI File Player : could cause glitches in playback
- MIDI File Player : loop mode could skip tempo changes at the loop boundary
- OS X : AU Cocoa UI not showing up correctly on 10.5
- OS X : VST version could cause a crash when closing the UI
- Palette Search : Searching skips children if the parent matches the query
- Patchbay : Name used in the context menu differs from the name used in the Palette
- Patchbay : Body seem selected but is not
- Presets : Attempting to load a presets file would always clear the current presets even the file was not for that bidule
- Spectral Graph bidules: could crash when changing preset
- VST hosting : some MIDI events coming from a plugin could be lost when a large number of them were sent
- VST plugin : getSpeakerArrangement implementation could cause error in some hosts
+ many more fixes

I found it quite by accident-- I was showing someone the link at the school where I teach. :)

Unfortunately you´ve forgotten one important new ´feature´:
This is the first version that doesn´t run on Windows 98/98SE any longer! :(
It gives a program crash immediately after starting (something like "illegal address in Kernel32.dll" ...)

Hi Gennaro,

You are actually in the thread with the link-- it is the first "sticky" under Bidule General in the forums:

This is the first version that doesn´t run on Windows 98/98SE any longer! Sad

Then keep using an older version of Bidule.

At this point in time, we really don't care if it doesn't work on 98 because whenever we get to rewrite multi-core correctly, it will need to use APIs introduced later than that and for the UI library I'm currently writing I don't even bother to check if it will work on 98.

That is not "important". What is probably more important is that you get a system that is not 10 years old

I am a hardware convert who 3 years ago finally started hearing apps that were passable as replacements for analog synths and electro mechanical keyboards.

The managements key tech had taught me alot about Scope DSP cards and I have years of sampler and sequencer experience in hardware so last year when I was somewhat unhappy at the amount of Gigastudio content I decided to get Bidule as a VST host, and once we got the instruments loaded I chose I just kept performing not stopping to even learn a couple apps I was using.

No more management, and no more key tech left me with the chore of learning new apps. Just recently I have come to grips with a couple new ones and recently joined here and started digging into Bidule, even though I only need it as a host. It never crashed once last year while performing.

I am now making my own skins, and customizing my rig for the next gigs that start in September.

This is an excellent app., and Seb has always responded quickly to any email sent. I have installed a couple of new VSTi's and am looking forward to using Garritans Steinway in a couple of weeks also.

Just wanted to thank Seb and all of the members who post such helpful layouts and ideas here.

I plan on diiging deeply into this awesome app in the year to come.

Thanks For Helping Me Make Money w/o any troubles whatsoever.
