Again the problem here is not the difficulty in programming that effect, but more like how to present it to the MIDI/slot world.

Are the crazy Sync style sounds at 3-5 seconds just done by modulating the tone (or env) pitch?
Been trying to get these sounds out of Vortex Tracker (til this emu gets here!).
I've some insane drones, will post up some files if anyone's interested, but does anyone know how to do these Sync sweep style sounds in VT?

the sync sound is done by resetting the env in a timed manner that _becomes_ the pitch. (reset period is pitch)

Then by changing the pitch of the envelope on top of that, you get that sync sound. I wouldnt know how to
do this in VT though as ive never used it, i only barely tried MaxYMiser. i think you have that as presets in there.

Wow that's pretty clever.
Think VT is out of the question for, though I did get some similarly cool sounds using the envelope as the root note and sweeping the tone frequency.
Maxymiser did my head in so I'm looking forward to your release

It would be pretty rough, just a bunch of sliders. These emus need a front end which converts MIDI into chip parameters seamlessly. This takes time

I've been using the ym_mini and messing around with bidule to control it. This is what me made me remeber that you had something set up a while ago.

Having an emulation of this would be great.
