The position is in samples, the graph position are in seconds. Meaning that if you send 44100 in the position X input, the value at 1 will be sent to the X output.
Basically this is like having 4 Graphical Envelopes using the same Envelope with different position/speed/rate.

That is interesting.... yes, questions, was it made with something particular in mind? An emulation or solution to a FR?

There was a FR about being able to use the graph envelope with a position input
