Control loop_mode via cc in Sforzando

Postby pauloord » Mon Jan 08, 2018 3:06 pm

I'm using Sforzando with my own samples. I want to control the (sfz) loop_mode for these samples while playing from outside Sforzando by sending cc messages, just like reverb (cc91) or chorus (cc93).
Loop_mode in the .sfz files can only have the values no_loop, loop_continuous, loop_sustain or one_shot. These values must sooner or later correspond with some integer values (enums?), but I cannot find them nor use 0,1,...., 4.
In a live situation I want to change the loop_mode with my own controller, so anyone knows a solution for this in the .sfz files?

Hello

While its true that internally loop_modes are enums, there are quite a few special optimization cases when loading sfz files that assume this value never changes. Changing this would be quite involved i'm afraid.

You can easily set up multiple regions selected by a CC using different loop_mode values controlling the same sample(s). The sample data only gets loaded once, regardless.

Thanks pljones, that might be a good solution!
